What is a politically exposed person (PEP)?

A PEP is someone in a high public position — for example:

  • Government official

  • Judge

  • Senior executive in a state-owned company

It also includes close family members or known associates of such people.

If you or your relatives fall under this category, please indicate this during verification.

Additional checks may apply — this is a standard AML (Anti-Money Laundering) requirement to keep your account safe.
