UTM parameters are short tags added to the end of a link. They let you tell apart traffic from different campaigns, channels and posts, so you can see which of your promotions actually bring in clients.
If you have not created a partner link yet, start with How to Find and Share Your Partner Link.
How to add them
Go to Partners → Promo and open the Links tab.
Select your partnership program at the top of the page.
Under Link Settings, choose a Landing Page and Language.
Click + UTM Parameters to expand the section.
Fill in the fields you want to use — you do not need to fill in all of them.
Copy the finished link from the Link field in the Copy panel on the right.
The five fields
Campaign Name — the name of a specific campaign. Example:
summer_programSource — where the traffic comes from. Example:
newsletterMedium — the type of channel. Example:
socialContent — which link it is, when one piece contains several. Example:
footer_linkTerm — paid search keywords. Example:
forex_broker
Tips
Keep a consistent naming style — all lowercase, underscores instead of spaces — so your reports stay readable.
Give every campaign a distinct Campaign Name. Reusing one name across campaigns makes the results impossible to separate.
Create a separate link per channel rather than reusing one link everywhere.
Promo banners already carry their own tracking tags, so you do not need to add UTM parameters to them. See How to Use B2PRIME Promo Banners.
You can add UTM parameters to a QR code as well. See How to Generate a QR Code for Your Partner Link.
Where to see the results
Go to Partners → Reports → Acquisitions. Each click is recorded with the Link that was clicked, along with the country, IP address and date. Click the copy icon next to a link to copy the full URL, including the UTM parameters it carried.
For a full campaign analysis, feed the same UTM parameters into your own analytics tool — that is where UTM tags are designed to be read.
